Several churches in the area are currently looking for organists; among those recently notified are the following - though it should be said that churches rarely tell us when a post has been filled, so some of this information may be out of date.   Those furthest down the list are the most recent!

St Peter's Church, Chorley     Organist and Choirmaster required.
Fine 2-manual mechanical action instrument by David Wood of Huddersfield, and a choir of limited vocal resources but considerable loyalty.   Annual celebrity recital is well-established, and there would be opportunity to put on other concerts and assist in the running of the United Anglican Church Choirs of Chorley.
10 a.m. Sunday Parish Eucharist, monthly sung Evensong, and sung services on Festivals and Holy Days.   Weekly choir practice (currently on Thursdays 6.15 to 7.15 p.m.).   Remuneration within RSCM guidelines, with five Sundays per annum allowed for holidays.   Fees for weddings and funerals are currently £50, and subject to review.
